STARTING POINT

A heritage brand with a user experience to be improved

The main issue that Marc O’Polo presented was a confusing navigation between all their categories: Men, Women, Denim for Men and Women (their young sub-brand), Kids, and Home. Our main objective was on creating a clear journey between every category, allowing the user to move easily between them and have a clear focus on where to explore.

 

A CLEAR JOURNEY BETWEEN CATEGORIES

We decided to have an intro splash page where the user could initially decide
which category do they want to discover. This would be cookie stored and only
would appear the first time.

LAYOUT FLEXIBILITY

For this matter, we focused on an Atomic Design approach. A very common practice,
especially in e-commerce, where there’s the need for a frequent change of content
without compromising flexibility on designs. We created different components that
can be used in different ways depending on the category or the communication need.
